Recipe for cleaning clams
Clean wash clams until clean under running water, add drinking water, Salt and turmeric boil till clams or shells get opened cool awhile and remove only its flesh or remove oneside of the shell without flesh and discard, use the other part to make curry or Sukka(I usually keep shell to get good flavour in my curry),
(Discard water in which clams are boiled or you can use it in curry.)
METHOD
•Heat kadai add a tsp of oil roast red chilles till crisp and remove
•In the same pan roast ingredients like dhaniya, jeera, methi, pepper, garlic, onions till good aroma to this coconut and toss for 2 minutes, cool this mixture and grind this alongwith red chilles, turmeric and tamarind to very fine paste
•Heat the same kadai add oil, and fry remaining onion till Holden add previously cooked Clams, fry awhile add masala paste, water as required, boil well add salt to taste and enjoy with rice, neer dosa
•10 long red Chillies
•4-5 short red chilles
•1& 1/2/ tbsp Coriander seeds (Dhaniya)
•1 tsp Cumin seeds(jeera)
•1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds(methi)
• 1/2 tsp turmeric
•6-8 pepper corns
•1 big onion chopped (2 tbsp to be used while making masala)
• 8 garlic flakes peeled
•a small piece of Tamarind
• oil
•1 big cup coconut
